4)“How does colour affect the viewer's reaction to Picasso’s “Celestina” in blue tones and in Kiki Smith’s “Virgin Mary” in red tones?
In Picasso’s “Celestina”, the blue tones make the viewer feel sad and cold. This is the effect of cooler colours.
In Kiki Smith’s “Virgin Mary”, the red tones make the painting feel warm but because of the use of red, it is a bold statement.

5) How does colour in these two works of art play a role in the reaction of the viewer?
The colour in the paintings changes the way that the viewer feels when they look at the painting.

6) How might other people’s associations with colour affect their perception of this portrait?

When looking at both warm and cool colours in one portrait, this may make them feel more than one feeling.

7) Looking to your colour wheel, what are 3 areas you are most proud of and what are 3 areas if you had more time you would rework and why?

I am most proud of my gradations, my mixing of tertiary colours, and my tints.
If I had more time I would like to work on some of the shades, the neatness of my work (including brush strokes and no overlapping of colours), and making some of the colours not look as similar.
