I like this painting a lot. I like the use of the brush strokes and how it is very painterly. There is a nice contrast between the warm, cool, light, and dark colours. It really moves your eye to every part of the painting. I also really like how much detail there is. You can really see how much work and time was put into the final piece of artwork.

I choose this painting because it reminds me of the Azure Window in Malta. I would go visit this window when I was younger and I have many good memories associated with it. The mood of this painting is happy but there is also mystery. The bright vibrant blues and beige-yellows make you feel happy and content. The darker colours and the more painterly and scumble style shows some mystery. There are also lots of layers which makes the painting have more of an intricate design.
